The first day of the international training program, «Advancing Digital Lending: From Theory to Practice with CrePASS & Next-Gen Solutions», was successfully conducted in Seoul, Republic of Korea, bringing together representatives from financial institutions participating in the Water Credit Adoption Program (WCAD) under the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), in collaboration with Water.org and CrePASS.
Day 1 focused on the evolution of digital lending, financial inclusion, and modern credit assessment. Participants explored how traditional and alternative data, AI-powered credit assessment technologies, and the CrePASS solution can support more responsible, transparent, and efficient lending decisions.
The sessions also highlighted the important role of digital technologies in expanding access to financial services for underserved populations, while strengthening risk management, improving operational efficiency, and supporting sustainable financing practices.
Through international expertise and practical case studies, participants gained valuable insights that can be applied to strengthen digital lending capabilities within their institutions and support the responsible expansion of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) financing in Cambodia.
